The desk is constructed entirely from 1×5 planks of wood, pushing for a constraint-based approach to form and structure. Rather than concealing the process, the construction is deliberately legible, allowing the logic of the object to be read through its assembly.
While the form was carefully thought out the execution intentionally remains rough. Elements such as the green mill stamp on the end grain and the visible drill holes are left exposed to acknowledge the material’s origin and the act and importance of making something with your own hands.
